Don’t know why, don’t know how, but Rubber is a film about a killer tire called Robert that can make a person’s head explode with… psychic abilities?
It’s all a little odd, even the director’s name; Quentin Dupieux? So I did a little reading about this and finally it makes sense. It’s a French horror comedy; makes perfect sense as I find French humor being very random and their films more so. Take anything by Michel Gondry and it’s a little random.
More so interesting is the director, Quentin Dupieux; sounds like a parody name of Quentin Tarentino. A quick wiki search and boom, turns out to be Mr. Oizo of the Flat Beat and Flat Eric fame. Also, his name is actually Quentin Dupieux more fool me.
So the this film. I don’t really know much other than what’s in the trailer and what I just said; but something this random may well be worth the watch and also seems quite original rather than other horror films that could have taken ideas from lesser known sources.
