I’ve recently been getting into a lot of Pop Punk stuff again, this was my main musical vice as a kid and being the fugly git I was, I feel I was in tune with the whole “can’t get a girlfriend” pitch of these songs.
Interestingly though I found a new band through my search that I’ve really gotten into and thus chosen one of their songs for this weeks Musical Friday; “Half past Forever” by Better Luck Next Time.
Can’t say I know much about these guys as I’ve just gotten into them in the last couple of weeks, but they are your standard Pop Punk affair of songs about girls and not having any or breaking up with them. It’s light-hearted music that I think is always worth giving a try if it’s not for the downer lyrics with up-beat tempo of the music.
